This was the best piece of artwork I have made yet. In this painting/impression I was trying to use the methods of impressionism from Claude Monet's paintings. I was amazed that I could ever paint something that good. I learnt the skill of mixing colours to make something look different from far away than it looks from close up. The tree on the left looks a lot like a painting of a Japanese bonsai tree. If I was given this assignment again I would use a picture that has more colour and objects. Overall I am very satisfied with the final turnout of this painting and wish that I could do it many more times in the future.
